Here are the TOUCH POINTS between history and our own lives. Did we come to study history because of something we experienced? Probably. Does history impact us daily, even if we don't have careers focused around it? Yes. Electricians can often tell you the history of older wiring, and when codes were updated. Plumbers can tell you what they like and dislike about different eras of toilets and sinks. It's not just about evolving technology, it's also where we come from. It's why we are so interested in history to begin with.

A new section that we are trialing that looks at parenting topics that have come up. A lot of the research I have been doing lately has been around parenting practices. (Let's face it, I have a toddler. This is something I will do.) Sometimes these posts will also contain historical parenting information, but often they revolve around parenting today.
